My friends and family!
Before saying anything I do want to thank you for all your prayers and encouragement these past few months. I am truly blessed, and know that God will do great things through it all. In that... I accepted a position I was offered yesterday at a hotel in SLO. Not the greatest pay, but it does give experience, since I now just have the education. I am still waiting though to see what comes of the Paso Robles Wine Alliance, because that is one of the dream jobs to start out in at 24. So I am still praying on that. Because even though the search is minimal to pick up a second job, that would be one job I would take and not need a second, and a wonderful opportunity. I start training on Friday and am working in Guest Services. It is a good start to eventually get into management and/or Group Sales. So, I see this as an area of opportunity and growth. It came at a good time, as the temporary retail position gave me zero hours next week... which is 4 less than the past two weeks. So, thanks for the prayers!
When I am not going to be working I am still trying to have a sane free time. College and Young Professionals Hang Out nights on Friday, using my Annual Passport to Disneyland, spending time with friends, and also teaching in Children's Ministry at church once a month and also doing childcare Wednesday nights at the church during the bible studies and various things that are happening on that night.
My plan is still to to take Financial Peace, not this time around, but in the Spring. I know prayerfully it is something that will glorify God, and that I want to honor God in my finances. My goal is to still get out of debt (besides my pet-- Student Loans) by years end, so I can start looking at getting another car (looking for something in the year 2000's category). I will also be picking up some babysitting and what not. My plan is to also freelance when I can with event coordinating, but not making it dependable income.
Prayer Requests:
My mom's health
The jobs
Finances
Reconciliation of relationships
Growing closer to God
