If any of you have wondered about the random city status updates, I’ve been touring and playing guitar with a band called Sherwood for the last few months. (My law job doesn't start until next Fall.)

Without getting into too boring of a discussion about the music industry, it’s worth mentioning that first week sales are very important, and all of these sales, though discounted, count in full, and will help us to get better tours, song placements, and get more CDs in stores after the first week.

What’s crazy is that Amazon pays our label and us a full rate – THEY take the hit (in order to get people to the site, to then hopefully buy vacuum cleaners or books or whatever). So you are supporting us the same as if you have paid $10 on iTunes or in Best Buy, but it’s only costing you $3.

So please, if you have any interest, any curiosity about Sherwood, get the album for $3 on Tuesday or Wednesday. And if you possibly can, please tweet it, status update it, or even better, write a note like this and tag any friends who you think may be at all interested. We appreciate the help more than we can say.
