Obama Barack winning the Presidential Election
The continual fight of California Prop. 8 even though it won on the Nov. 4th electionProposition 4 not passing with giving consent to parents for their minor children to get an abortion.
The economy and the government taking a year to finally call out the obvious: WE ARE IN A RECESSION
Finding a job. Catch 22-- Got the degree and yet they would rather have the experience it seems. Then what did I waste 6 years and $22k on??

Great Highlights
My graduating from Cal Poly
Closed the college chapter with a year of living with amazing friends.
Now living with wonderful friends
Being part of a great church fellowship
Got my braces off
Prop 8 did pass democratically regardless of the continual fight from the opposing sides.
God's provision
Only had to live in a big city for 4 months realizing I was miserable and needed to be home.
Disneyland
I no longer have a senior project hanging over my head
I have my beach, the mountains, and friends all right here :)
Finding out who my friends are... who are true blue til the end.
Deleted myspace-- then reopened it... (this could also be a disappointment)

While this year has been been up, down, and all around... I have learned alot about myself... and I have thought about who I am and who I want to be. I also know where I am not, and where I need to be. Closer to God, and focusing on finding a job. I made a decision to move to San Diego, and while a big part of me regrets it... I had to find out for sure. And now I know... my heart is here, and I would rather go through trials here than anywhere else.
This year relationships have changed, some have grown and matured and some have strained. Some relationships will never be the same, and I have also realized that everyone comes into your life for a reason, and some relationships are everlasting and long term, and sometimes God brings people into your life for a short period of time for you to learn something, to gain insight or support as you reach the next stage in your life. As I now focus on wanting to be more financially responsible as I want to honor the Lord with my finances, and focusing on finding a job in an economy where my field is limited right now... being faithful in knowing God will take care of me. I want to focus and put energy into the relationships that give as much as I do, and balance out the relationship. I am blessed by roommates, friends, church family, and my family. Friends are there for the good, the bad, and the ugly... and I am learning that more and more, and I want to be that friend for the people in my life.
This year I have learned about what I don't want to do... I could never nor would ever be a professional wedding coordinator. I have found I am passionate about tourism, people, and wine... and I am passionate about having my own business one day... maybe 2. I am passionate about the community and giving back and putting in what you want to get out of it.
