Food Frenzy Fridays

 have a friend who has her Style Mondays and Wishful Wednesdays, and they are quite creative. So it is my goal to try new places here on the Central Coast (while I am still here), and let you know if it is a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Once and when I move, I will scope out new places and let you know-- where ever they may be.

So this week-- I went to Aloha Cafe formally known as Sue Sando's. Now, background.... never heard of this place til a couple of the guys at my work kept going there and getting these AMAZING fries, and I was hooked. So I found the place.

Aloha Cafe serves 3 different things each day. Wednesdays apparently is the best and it is Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches for 5 bucks, and woooie.... they are delicious. And the fries were as great as always. Crisp and you could tell the potatoes were fresh. During other days of the week they do Pulled Pork and and Tri-Tip Sandwiches, Soups of the Day (in the cooler months). And cheap!! Good food for cheap. Only real drawback is they don't take plastic, so you do need to go to the ATM to grab some cash, but 6 bucks will feed ya with sandwich, fries, and soft drink. They have a small outdoor seating area.

Now.... where is this place? San Luis Obispo.

It is on Via Esteban and Roberto (right on the corner). Off of Sacramento (which runs parallel to Broad). A definite hole in the wall place. Open Monday-Friday from 8-3. (They also make Breakfast Burritos). So next time you are in SLO at lunch time..... especially on a Wednesday.... check it out.
