2 Reviews, a small update, and a hidden recommendation!

This is gonna be a big post. 3 parts.

I had such a great weekend, and there is alot to say about so much going on.

This weekend was full of realizations and some fun experiences.

First: A review!

I had dinner in Universal City at City Walk at Karl Strauss Brew and Beer Garden Restaurant. The service in how busy it was was absolutely some of the best customer service I have ever received. The people were friendly, not too pushy and not too hard to get to when needing something. The food was absolutely incredible but simple, and the beer-- best I have ever had. Special Release exclusive to their brewery/restaurant. You can get some of their other brews at places like BevMo though. The 21st Anniversary Ale was delicious, and quite the doozie. 10.5% alcohol.... but amazing. A great caramel taste followed with a sweet vanilla after taste. It was like dessert wine has met beer :)

Next: Another Review

I saw Valentine's Day on good ol' Single Awareness Day (S.A.D) with Christiana and I went into this movie thinking even with an ALL STAR CAST it was going to be either really skeezy or super lame. And actually it was cute, funny, and every bit a great chick movie, but seriously most of the laughter came from every guy in the theater. So, go see it. I bet it will be easier to see post Hallmark Holiday.

Revelation:

Buying a car is on an unknown length of time hold. With my heart still wanting to relocate to NYC, I don't want to be married to a car payment and stuck where I may not want to be. So, for a huge fraction of the cost I will be repairing my car for about $500.00 and getting more time out of it.

Putting FPU to Use:

After this weekend I knew I would never want to buy a car from Sleezy Sam at some street corner car dealer lot. I didn't have peace and I was just praying God would grant me discernment to do what I needed to do and give me peace about it. And well.... I knew then another car was not going to create peace, but more stress.

Today, I paid 3 outstanding debts. A couple dating back to my freshman year of college and that is 3 things on my credit report taking care of. You look at all the debt and say "I will never be able to get out of this". But you can. I still have a ways to go, but I made more progress now than I ever have. No more squeezing my eyes shut and plugging my ears and pretending it is not there and it will all magically disappear. It can happen. You can get out of the hole, and it is the best feeling in the world. It affirms that it can happen without having to declare bankruptcy, or having to just live with it. For those who live in the area: Financial Peace this week is discussing debt. Be blessed and come. If you can't at least check out www.daveramsey.com.
