The Season We Are In

What a wonderful season this has been. The feel has been different, and I do think the economy has something to do with it. As 2009 comes to a close... I look back at this year. And the great majority of it for me was not so good. It may be ending on a much better note, and 2010 will start one a great one. Making plans and continuing to meet my goals. I am applying for more and more jobs in my degree field, and looking all over California, besides San Diego, and ultimately where my heart is yearning... New York. So prayer for God's provision and timing, and that my time would be productive.

So Christmas:

The Adult Choir program went off without a hitch and ended with a party. So much fun, and truly love the fellowship God has placed me in. Wednesday we had the 1st of many to come of Christmas Adam (get it.... cause Adam came before Eve... oh we are so so cleaver). Once again, Megan helped Kristi with an amazing dinner of Goose, potatoes, Russian something pudding, pear with a port sauce.... and great friends. Since it is Christmas break, this also means Ali is home for the break from San Carlos (where she is now living in teaching). Despite the distance her and I truly have grown so much closer as friends, and I am so blessed to have her in my life. Christmas Eve.... busy. I worked til 2, had to do last minute Christmas shopping (Thanks Christiana for tagging along), and 2 Christmas Eve services where a small portion of us from the choir sang for the services. What a blessing to see so many new faces! Christmas Day brought my family up from their home in Frazier Park, minus my brother. I prepared my first all by myself holiday meal.... Tri-Tip, Sweet potatoes, and Tamales (I did order the Tamales),and made Apple Pie and Fudge. All worth the hard work, and was fun to host. Christmas night I went down to Ali's family in Santa Maria to just hang out, and resumed hang out last night by getting some Panera (location in Santa Maria now... we are moving up in the world), and rented The Proposal (I love that movie). Great week full of friends, shopping, and fellowship with family and friends. Roommates we did Christmas together plus Brian, and it was so much fun. I am truly blessed with amazing roommates, friends, and the ability to be able to gift others. I am blessed to be working, and I am blessed to be overall healthy. As 2010 comes..... it is gonna be a BIG year. I can just feel it.

Merry Christmas to each of you and a wonderful New Year!

Blessings and Joy,
