September 11! Seems like yesterday sometimes when we see the video footage. I am reminded how lucky I am to live in a country that (for the most part) protects my freedoms. I am not too worried to walk outside of my home for the fear of my life. I know what happened reminds us of how proud I am to be American. We have continued the fight against Terrorism and the disarming of weapons of mass destruction. I know God forsees this all, and I know in this we see God's love in how this event brought our country together. Some people came to salvation because of the events of 9/11. I realize that there have been changes following and I don't mind the increase in security when I travel or in major cities.... in fact I value those who make those decisions to do so as they are protecting the people of the nation.
I pray for the families who were affected by those they lost in 9/11. I pray for comfort as they still grieve from such an event. I thank the Lord for His hand on our nation and I ask that He would continue to give discernment and wisdom to our leaders and protection to those who work day in and day out to protect us! Thank you for protecting me!
