LOST definitely delivered last night nothing short of amazing. So much was revealed, and yet so much was kept us wanting to know more. At the end of the finale we have two John Locke's, but one really is not him... and one of them is dead.... yet 20 feet from each other. We then have Juliet risk her life to go with Jack's plan, and once the bomb does not go over, an internal bleeding Juliet bangs the hell out of that bomb and it goes off.... the screen goes white and we are left waiting until January 2010 for one heck of a final season. We finally see Jacob... and it is more of a spirit, and Jacob is not the black cloud monster I thought we would come to find out. "John Locke" asks Richard Alpert why he doesn't age?
We see the sensitive side of Ben.... broken after years of following the orders of a man he had never seen. Ben was the leader of The Others before John Locke came along, and John snaps his fingers to see Jacob and as Ben said.... like Moses... was taken to where he wanted to go. Quite the biblical analogy huh? Ben is so hurt that Jacob did not care for Ben.... that he was pushed aside that he does Jacob in... stabs him and lets him burn to death in a fire pit. So what was Jacob's true significance for this island? Well without him... we will sure find out next season. We do know Jacob did have actual encounters and interactions with the Oceanic 6 plus Juliet and Sawyer at some major point in their lives... like that is when he "chose" them to come to the island and made the circumstances as such.
Will the destiny really be revealed, and if 815 never happened will destiny really bring Jack and Kate together (Gosh, I hope so). Will Jack find out even then Claire is his sister? Will Charlie no longer be dead? So many unanswered questions that hopefully the last 17 episodes next year will answer.
My heart broke for Sawyer when he lost Juliet.... and my heart went out to Ben as I could fully understand that one more time in his life... he was barked orders which he followed but never valued. And what is the deal with two Locke's... there is a purpose. I know who the impostor is.... and I think I know why......
Great finale, and I will be sad to see it end next year :) However, FlashForward is coming in the Fall.... sounds like a good premise
