As this quarter comes to a close this week in taking finals and having turned in the first half of my senior project, it didn't come with a breeze, and the light is still faint at the end of the tunnel.
With a hard drive crashing the middle of last week with the 90% possibility of losing EVERYTHING on it, I was angry. First at the problem then at myself for not backing up alot of what is on it. So, technology fails since it is man made, and that definitely does not come with perfection. Oh well, so computer-less I am, and people have been generous with their letting me use theirs to get things done and to do things like this :)
The job search continues until I get a bite. I had what I thought to be a great interview with The Cliffs interviewing for an assistants position in Sales and Marketing for them. A great foot in the door, full time with benefits overlooking the ocean. I think it may be destiny that I always end up working in Pismo Beach. Nonetheless, no complaints there. The other place would be an internship with Destination Advisors which is more along the lines of what I would like to do. Meeting management and working with researching other destinations and ours even in setting up trips for corporate meetings and retreats, and it is a more casual environment. So prayerfully something will happen.
Thanks to those who have been praying for me about this, it has definitely been a stress of mine.... I would like to move on from retail, coffee, and low hourly wages... and have a "big person" job now.
