Tidbits of Everything

Recently I have received a few messages and texts asking how I am doing, or what my thoughts are going into the current election.. and so... here it all is... short and sweet and some prayer requests at the end.

Life/School:
Life is good. I am busy and school is back in sesh. Finance is NOT my thing and I am being reminded of that right now. I am very appreciate to the wonderful T.J. who attempted to help me through Google Docs the other night. He is kinda my hero right now ;-) So prayers for this term as I am feeling overwhelmed by an area I am not very confident in that I would push through.

Work:
There is some good and big things going on. I hit my one year mark with Verizon back in December. It has been such a learning experience as I learn that I am actually pretty good at it once I really push and stay determined to work hard. The harder I work, the better my results. I know that my success is largely in my hands. I can really own what I do. In this area.... big things. I have been looking for my position or ones that are similar to what I am doing or in the HR field with Verizon in New York. Positions in the city are hard to come by and I have known that I would have to work hard and be patient for something to come up for me to apply to. I came across a position yesterday for a position in the city for what I am doing now. I immediately jumped on it. A couple weeks ago I had already emailed one of the HR reps for the New York Metro area to let her know my interest in moving to that area.  She was very receptive and let me know the best time to really push looking. I told my manager about the email and she was surprisingly very supportive. So, she knows I applied for this position and is going to also email the store manager of the location on my behalf.  So prayers for this area would be appreciative.

Church:
Things are good. The youth group is staying very consistent. As leaders we continue to work very cohesively together, and it has been something I really value and I love serving with these people I am blessed enough to call "friends". Prayers right now would be appreciative for both Heather and Aaron. Aaron is our youth pastor, and Heather is his wonderful wife. She is currently expecting their second child in April and has now been on bed rest. So prayers that they would make it through this transition and this trial. Prayers that God would protect all of them and continue developing the baby girl  and for good health. The next few weeks we are doing adjustments since Heather is usually very involved with the youth ministry along side Aaron, so prayers are definitely welcomed.

My Political Window:
This has been tough as I have been viewing the candidates with the primaries just weeks away. I am wondering why the Republican party can't bring out a truly stellar candidate. However, I have seen Romney take the lead for the party, and this is not the BEST thing. He has got a lot of Obama like ideas, and heck he had his own version of Obama care when he was governor.... BEFORE ObamaCare. Yeah, no thank you. buh-bye. The other front runners seem a little nuts. Newt... not buying it, Ron Paul is getting some getting some good hype as well... but I want someone strong morally, ethically, and to not infringe on my rights. I want to see job creation, be morally conservative, knock out our debt, have a good plan for national security and plan for our war overseas. I want someone tough on immigration and on securing our borders... so I have solidified my choice for the primaries... to Rick Perry. He is everything I mentioned. He is also a devout Christian and we need those morals in our white house and in our country. Overall.... our country needs prayers this year as the election goes under way that God would lead the right person into office and that our country and people would get back to having a moral core. Prayers for our country to become a strong nation again... not being owned by China from all the borrowing we do. So... that's my little window. (www.rickperry.org)

Misc...
We are getting a new roommate. The past few months have been full of interesting events. We have had the door swing open and close more than we would like. So prayers for us to live together cohesively and that we would mesh well together.

Overall, prayers for good time management and for good life/work/school balance.
