The month of December definitely was surreal. I spent 3 weeks in East Bay (Walnut Creek, CA) for training for my new job at Verizon, and it was also great to meet a bunch of great people I can now call friends. Yes, I know that sounds cheesy, but it is my blog so I can say what I want... ha! Anyway, I did meet great people as we went through training together and many of us living out of Embassy Suites. It was great to come home and sleep in my own bed. I don't see how people can travel for work and live out of suitcases and hotels, cause it is definitely not for me. But it was a nice little change for me, and I came home in good time as it was getting kinda old. Hotels are a little too sterile for me. It was a nice hotel though, and had great shopping around in a downtown area that is very similar to SLO, or even Pasadena, and other quaint towns I have been to.
While in training I got accepted officially into Grad School, and I actually start this Monday. So, talk about crazy busy. I am completing my MBA with an emphasis in Human Resources Management at Hope International University. HIU is a non-denominational Christian university based in Orange County and I am able to complete the work online, so it will definitely take lots of discipline.
So now as I approach 2011 with a new job I enjoy and in a grad program... I will be busy. I plan to transfer with Verizon to NYC in Fall/Winter 2011 and so we shall see what happens :)
