I totally failed you all my dear friends with no food frenzy last week. And I half failed again with not posting this last night. But.... nonetheless.... here we are. So my sincere apologies.
Last night was Dinner and a Movie, and way cooler than when TBS did a Dinner and a Movie deal with showing you how to make something that paired with the movie. My roommates, two dear friends, and myself went to Blacksheep Bar and Grill last night. Now, know this: after 10:pm it is just a bar... it is in a college town after all. Blacksheep is located in Downtown SLO on Chorro next to the FedEx Office store between Marsh St. And Higuera St. So it is in the heart of downtown.
All of us in attendance got the same meal, but different drinks. From Rum and Coke to a Colorado Bulldog (like a White Russian but topped of with Coke), to the best Guiness on tap anywhere in San Luis Obispo, to my Jonny Walker.... it was a fun night to be had. And they also make a very strong and sour Mojito.
Well all of us ordered Pub Mac and Cheese. Now, I have eaten this many times and it is always amazing, and mixing in some jalapeƱos (chopped up finely) it is the perfect pinch of spice to the meal. It does cost $9.95 but also includes a really great house salad and I usually get it with their house dressing: Balsamic Vinaigrette and it is so so so good.
The service was fantastic, friendly, and just such a great place to stop in at for lunch even, and dinner anytime. The Mac and Cheese is the best restaurant mac and cheese you can ask for.
So check them out on Chorro St. Downtown!
And the movie.... Prince of Persia with Jake Gylennhal. It was alright.... I would see it probably again, but not like the best movie of all time. Very detailed plot and flowed well. Great action, and also a nice little love story. So many comparisons to what we all know with the story of Cain and Abel.
