What a crazy time everything has been. If that makes sense. I am in my new place in San Diego and it was a smooth day of moving. Yesterday, I finished unpacking except for a couple boxes of things I am not sure I need.... so I am just figuring out what to do with those things. I am blessed with a room with TONS of storage. I also did some adventuring and went into Mission Valley to go to Ikea and Costco. I will say there is a luxury to a big city.... everything is here.
My first night here was good. Brian, being the awesome and blessing of a friend that he helped me move down here to San Diego, and I am forever so grateful. The long 5 1/2 hour drive was only bad in Santa Barbara with traffic, but other than that it was a blessing of clear highways. My roommates, Garyn and Sheena were so welcoming in helping me move in and hang up pictures and unloading. I am a blessed girl indeed. They started introducing me to a couple of friends of theirs and they were really sweet. Yesterday after my adventures in Mission Valley, I went to La Jolla to Linens 'N Things to pick up some pillows and I am noticing all these bigger areas are familiar, mainly due to previous visits, so that's a good thing. When Brian was here we went to Pat & Oscars in Mission Valley so that was my first meal here as a new San Diegan, and last night Garyn, Kim, and I went to Fred's Mexican Food in PB. So I am getting acquainted quickly.
I start working today and have already been by the Coffee Bean in Mira Mesa (Yes all these little areas are within the city of San Diego, just little communities.... and with 1.5 million plus people in one city you kinda need some definition). Small store, even more than ours but pretty organized, they have alot of weird transitioning going on working with only the manager and one shift supervisor, so this should be interesting.
Enjoy the pictures on this post of my new place. Come visit soon! And my home is in SLO.... I will be visiting in August for sure :)
Prayer Requests:
Work
Finding a job in my major soon
Continuing to get situated
Finding a great church with serving opportunities, but a church who is teaching the niddy griddy, but a church focused on missions and what not.
Churches I am checking out:
The one my roommates go to in Carlsbad (like 25 minutes from here)
The Flood
The Rock (I may go with JoAnn)
Grace Church San Diego
Horizon Christian Fellowship (It is a Calvary Chapel)
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
All My Love,
Caitlyn
